In addition to securing the main domain all certificate types also secure the default domain (e.g. main domain = www.domain.com → default domain = domain.com)
Standard SSL Certificate: secures one domain name
Advantage SSL Certificate: secures two domain names
UC Multi-Domain SSL Certificate: the basic certificate secures up to four domain names. You can have up to 250 domain names secured.
EV (Extended Validation) Multi-Domain SSL Certificate: the basic certificate secures up to two domain names. You can have up to 250 domain names secured.
Wildcard SSL Certificate: secures all domains under the wildcard specification (eg. *.wesentra.com). Can contain additional individual SAN definitions (eg. www.wesentra.fi or weseblog.com). Can contain other wildcard definitions as SANs (e.g. *.wesentra.se). Allows free-of-charge creation of wildcard duplicates for several servers with each having their own private keys.
